COA is pleased to be able to continue to sponsor one 4th year and one 5th year resident from each California Orthopaedic Program to attend the COA 2016 Annual Meeting and Resident Course.
We hope that you take advantage of this sponsorship to give your residents an opportunity to network and interact with practicing orthopaedic surgeons throughout California and to be exposed to leading experts in orthopaedic practice. The 2017 Annual Meeting will be held May 18-21, 2017 at the Omni La Costa Resort.
Therewill be a course designed by and especially for orthopaedic residents. This course will be held on Thursday, May 18 as part of the Annual Meeting. (See Preliminary Agenda for the Annual Meeting and the Resident Course)
Sponsorship includes complimentary registration for the Annual Meeting/Resident Forum, three night’s lodging at the Omni La Costa Resort, travel expenses, and one ticket to the Gala Dinner.
There are 4 requirements for the sponsored residents:
- Residents must be nominated by their program chair
- That one of the residents is a 4th year resident and one a 5th year resident (2 residents maximum per program)
- They must attend and participate in the Resident Course and the entire Annual Meeting.
- Share the information that they learn at the meeting with other residents in their program
The Orthopaedic Department must notify COA by February 3, 2017 of the names of the resident(s) who will attend the COA Annual Meeting representing their program by sending an e-mail to COA at admin@coa.org.
Other residents are also encouraged to attend the Resident Course and the Annual Meeting.
Registration will open in late December.
(Special pricing has been set-up to encourage their participation.)
This is a terrific educational opportunity for your residents. The meeting will include outstanding scientific symposiums, sessions on practice management issues/trends and information on Life after Residency. They will also have an opportunity to network with other orthopaedic colleagues throughout California. We hope that residents will take advantage of this opportunity.
Any questions regarding the Annual Meeting should be directed to Nelly Lopez in the COA office at 916-454-9884 or admin@coa.org
