Call for Resident Papers – COA’s 2027 Annual Meeting

A session will also be held at the meeting just for residents:

  • How to Win in Practice
  • How to Compare Private, Academic, and Employed Jobs in CA
  • How to adjust to life as an Attending

When is this happening?
April 1-4, 2027 – Renaissance Esmeralda Indian Wells Resort (Palm Springs Area)
Papers will be presented on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Resident’s awards will be:

  • Lloyd W. Taylor, MD Resident Award
  • Orthopaedic Institute for Children Resident Award
  • OREF Resident Award
  • Harold La Briola, MD Resident Award 
  • Clinical Awards ( 6 Awards)

How Can You Participate?
Submit your papers no later than December 31. You can submit more than one paper.

Eligibility:

  • You must be a current Resident in a California Orthopaedic Program.
  • You must be a member of COA – just $25 – (the PAC is optional) Renew/Become a Member     (Username is your email Password: COA2024!)
  • Papers submitted for consideration must be in CLINICAL RESEARCH only – no basic science papers will be accepted). You must submit the full paper and an abstract limited to 500 words.
  • The Clinical Research must have been performed during your residency and you must be the primary author.
  • Your paper can already have been presented or published.
